The survey follows a request from the grain industry, which has called for the deepening of the river as part of other port up-grades, to enable it to be used by 50,000-79,000 dwt vessels. The review has been commissioned by SA Ports Corp from PPK Environment and Infrastructure Pty Ltd and a report is due by 16 August 2000......
