The Intermodal Equipment Alliance (IEA), an international grouping of intermodal equipment and container component suppliers formed last year (see WorldCargo News October 1999, p16) recently held its annual membership meeting in Shanghai.
The members used the occasion to visit some 15 different container component suppliers, which may, in the future, qualify as official suppliers to the IEA. A number of reefer container manufacturers were also visited with a view to the IEA being appointed as an official aftermarket supplier of their structural parts....
