Auto straddle M&R

In what it says is a first for New Zealand, Ports of Auckland (POAL)'s Plant Services division is developing and installing an automated system to collect operating and maintenance information from its straddle carrier fleet.

Each straddle carrier has a programmable logic controller (PLC), which records engine operating hours (on a shift, daily, weekly or life-to-date basis)....
