Concor eyes Nepal

The Container Corporation of India (Concor) has asked Customs to allow it to handle Nepal's growing container traffic, which is currently routed through Calcutta, at its Cossipore inland container depot (ICD) in West Bengal.

Nepal has long had transit facilities for its imports and exports through Calcutta and Haldia Docks, both of which are under the control of the Calcutta Port Trust (CPT). Last month, however, the Cossipore ICD received special permission from Customs to handle 60 Nepal-bound containers unloaded by P&O Nedlloyd at Haldia....
