Offen mulls 7700 TEU

Hamburg-based shipowner Claus Offen is in discussions with Samsung about construction of several 7700 TEU vessels.

Believed to be the largest containerships to date, they will fitted with double hulls and have a service speed of 25 knots. Detailed specification as to length, beam, draft and total carrying capacity have not been disclosed...
