Nishniy Novgorod/Sassnitz deal

The German ferry port of Sassnitz on Rügen Island has signed letters of intent with 12 partners from the industrial region of Nishniy Novgorod (Gorky) in Russia, regarding the development of logistic packages and solutions using rail, trucking and inland waterway services.

The growing cargo volume from the region gives an optimistic outlook for Sassnitz, remarked the port's managing director Andreas Meister....
