Intercontainer-Interfrigo (ICF) is restarting its Scandinavian Maritime Express (SME) block train service, linking Hamburg (Burchardkai, Eurokai, CTA), Hamburg Sud (warehouses 10 - 91) and Bremerhaven Nordhafen (CT1 - 3) with various Danish terminals - Aarhus (Skovgaards-gade CT, Harbour), Copenhagen Vasbygade CT, Taulov, Esbjerg and Aalborg Portland - on a three nights/week each way.
The timings are in line with market demand and the prices highly competitve, says ICF. The rate charged includes one transhipment in a Danish terminal. The previous SME came under severe price pressure from road haulage and feeder services. Its quality of service suffered and transport volumes slumped....
