Carrier Transicold's Container Products Group has introduced the AutoFresh option for high-respiring, perishable cargoes that require accurate, consistent fresh air exchange. The system is seen a low cost alternative for products that would benefit from atmosphere management, but for which the cost of a full controlled atmosphere system cannot be justified.
With AutoFresh, fresh air settings are simply programmed through the Carrier reefer unit's MicroLink ML2i controller, thereby eliminating the need for manual intervention while containers are in transit. A rugged, motorised rack-and-pinion mechanism ensures that the vent will open and close precisely and reliably, even with repeated use in demanding environments....
