Gijon concession goes to Grup TCB

Grup TCB has further strengthened its position in the Spanish container terminal market with the award of a 10-year concession to manage and operate the new Gijon container terminal.

The winning consortium is made up of TCB (45 per cent), Navieras Pinillos (10 per cent) and two local companies, Paquet (22.5 per cent) and Alvargonzalez (22.5 per cent). The other bid came from Terminales Maritimas Tramontana, headed up by Contenemar, which uses Gijon for its container service to the Canary Islands....
