The south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh is expected this month to shortlist expression of interest (EoI) bids for the Gangavaram port project (see WorldCargo News November 2001, p9).
The project to develop the minor port of Gangavaram into a major port will require an investment of around Rs5.94 bill (US$123 mill) in the medium term. Construction work is scheduled to start by April 1, 2003 and the port is to be commissioned by March 2005....
