K-Line has turned down a move from Rotterdam to Ceres Terminal in Amsterdam, citing concern about lock access at IJmuiden.
According to K Line Europe director Isao Akiba, a move was considered in the light of the new pendulum service with Yang Ming Line, which is due to start in March with 12 x 5500 TEU vessels. Akiba added that probably both Rotterdam and Antwerp will be called, but it is not clear at this stage which terminal in Rotterdam will be selected....
