Chris van Velzen, director of van Velzen Consultancy BV in the Netherlands, and Gerrit de Groot of Kraanservice van den Broek BV, have formed a new company to supply the European market with crane parts and components from Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery Company (ZPMC) .
Called Crane Parts Europe BV, the 50:50 joint venture is targeting not only ZPMC's customers, but also users of cranes from other OEMs. By the end of August last year, ZPMC had references for more than 210 ship-to-shore container cranes and 300 rubber tyred gantries (RTGs) worldwide, including units in Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Felixstowe, Rotterdam and Amsterdam....
