Business levels, if not exactly spectacular, appear to be at satisfactory levels for Spain's leading container handling equipment suppliers. Last year was one of the busiest ever for Paceco España SA, in which it booked orders for seven Por tainer cranes, all in the Iberian market. This year has been quieter in terms of orders, but correspondingly, work-in-progress, from fabrication through to shipment, erection and delivery, is in full swing. The orderbook is expected to pick up fairly soon, as a number of projects have been postponed rather than cancelled.
The cranes last year were ordered by ATM Bilbao (two), Marítima Valenciana (one), Termavi, Vigo (one), Opcsa, Las Palmas (one) and PSA, Sines (two). In February this year Marítima Valenciana confirmed an order for another superpost-Panamax (22-wide) Portainer....
