The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) has released the first issue of Intermodal Market Trends and Statistics, a new quarterly publication that has evolved from the previously independent publications, IMC Market Activity Report and the Rail Intermodal Traffic Report.
Included in the new report are statistics reported by Intermodal Marketing Companies (IMCs) and rail intermodal service providers. IMC data includes intermodal loads, highway truckloads, total loads, intermodal revenue, and highway revenue. Rail data, provided by the six North American class one carriers, includes details of movements between geographic regions, movements by equipment size and key corridor activity....
