Low tare cryogenics from M1

UK-based M1 Engineering has developed new low tare weight versions of its cryogenic tank container and road tanker to enable customers to benefit from improved payloads. The new tank container, christened Maximo, is constructed of stainless steel, while the latest version of the company's Carrymore cryogenic road tanker relies wholly on aluminium for its construction.

"The 10 bar Maximo unit offers a tare weight of less than 6,500 kg, giving a payload of 27,500 kg," said M1 managing director Peter Fox. "The 4 bar model has a tare weight of just 5,800 kg, providing a payload of 28,200 kg. The full stainless steel construction includes not only inner shell and outer jacket but also framework, piping and valves."...
