Container throughput at China's ports is expected to reach 35 mill TEU this year, up 27 percent over last year's figure on the back of robust exports, according to the Ministry of Communications.
In the first six months of 2001, the ports handled 16.06 mill TEU, up around 40 percent over the same period of last year, the Ministry said. Traffic at coastal ports rose 33 percent to 14.94 mill TEU, while river ports handled 1.11 mill TEU, up 20.1 percent....
