GCS acquires tank depot

UK-based special container manufacturer and lessor Gulf Container Systems (GCS) has acquired the business and assets of CAIB Intermodal Storage and Repair from Marcroft Engineering Ltd.

The move follows the sale of Groupe CAIB, the European Rail Division of the Australian Brambles Group, to Hapag-Lloyd/ VTG Lehnkering earlier this year (see WorldCargo News April 2002, p12)...
