Halifax shortlist

Following an extensive evaluation, Halifax Port Authority (HPA) has announced that four terminal operators have been shortlisted to enter into negotiations for a long term contract to operate the Fairview Cove Container Terminal when the current incumbent Cerescorp's lease runs out at the end of this year (see WorldCargo News September 2002, p20).

The shortlisted candidates are: Cerescorp/NYK (North America) Inc (NYK is in the process of acquiring Cerescorp's parent company Ceres Terminals Inc); CSX World Terminals and Logistec Stevedoring Inc; P& O Ports North America; and Terminal Systems Inc....
