Australia's CRT Group is blazing a new trail for rail in the country with the introduction of the CRT CargoSprinter bi-directional lightweight rail shuttle
After catching executive director Colin Rees' eye during one of his worldwide "technology trawls," Australian transport and logistics company CRT Group ordered the basic CargoSprinter package from German manufacturer Windhoff in 2001. The deal was part-funded by a A$6.97 mill grant from the Australian Greenhouse Office (AGO) as part of the Greenhouse Gas Abatement Programme, which acknowledges the environmental advantages rail offers for the carriage of freight....
