The government of the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh has invited pre-qualification tenders for the construction of a new port called Krishnapatnam in the state's Nellore district.
Krishnapatnam Port Company Ltd (KPC) has invited bids from experienced contractors for the engineering, procurement and construction contract. An official notice said the port will be built to Super Capesize specifications, with drafts of up to 23m, and provide very high daily throughput of ores and minerals....
