Nascent Technology LLC has been awarded a contract to provide its SYNAPSE automated gate system for CSX World Terminals (CSXWT)’s new container terminal under construction at Punta Caucedo in the Dominican Republic.
The system, which will be deployed at several locations throughout the facility, combines a host of gate control hardware and software including lanemounted digital video cameras, IP-enabled intercom systems, printers, bar-code scanners, phone handsets, etc, which will allow any clerk to remotely process visiting drivers at one of the 19 entry and exit points....
