CACI International Inc has filed a patent application for a system designed to monitor the contents of sealed containers using ultra wideband (UWB) techniques.
A wireless UWB transmitter (tag), placed inside a container at the time it is sealed, senses conditions such as temperature, humidity, pressure, and security breach, and transmits data on these conditions via UWB signals. Once the signal is received, processes are applied to collect and interpret the data, enabling users to identify the container’s location, its exposure to temperature and humidity, and whether or not it has been tampered with....
