Ennore Port, 25 km north of Chennai in south India, has invited expressions of interest from port developers to build and operate a multi-purpose berth with container handling facilities at the port.
“Ennore Port Ltd plans to develop a multi-purpose berth/container terminal to provide facilities for handling containers, cars, unit loads, heavy lifts and other similar items of cargo under a 30-year build-operate-transfer licence,” the port said in notices published in the local press. October 31 has been set as the deadline for submitting expressions of interest....
