The Port of Tacoma has chosen ICON Materials of Kent, Wa, to manage construction of the new 171-acre, two-berth container facility it is building at the head of the Blair Waterway for Evergreen America Inc.
The US$46.2 mill contract covers construction of the terminal site as well as a dedicated intermodal rail yard. Manson/ Taylor, a West Coast joint venture, will dredge and build the wharf structure under a separate US$38.8 mill contract....
