Swedish rail freight operator Green Cargo has unveiled a new freight car, which has been purpose- designed to increase the efficiency of transporting SCA paper and timber products between mills and terminals in Munksund and Holmsund in the north of Sweden, and Skövde in the south.
Designed and built by K Industrier in Malmö, the new design comprises two short-coupled, two-axled sections, with an overall length over buffers of 30m. Equipped with PD bogies, Green Cargo says the car has a wheel suspension that is unique to freight cars, enabling fast and quiet rail transport without vibration or damage to the large rolls of paper loaded on the car....
