The UK’s Strategic Rail Authority (SRA) has confirmed that the allocation for its new company neutral grant (CNG) scheme is £22 mill, as earlier indicated (see WorldCargo News January 2004, p18).
However, of this just less than £19 mill is being allocated to existing track access grant (TAG) recipients, including Freightliner (FL) - so the rug is not being pulled from under its feet - and just £3 mill is available for new business....
