Naha Port Authority (NPA) on Japan’s Okinawa Island has reportedly expressed an interest in a “partnership” with Dubai Ports Authority (DPA) to boost its container terminal operations.
“The success of the DPA particularly in garnering a large customer base is the reason we would like them to partner us,” NPA’s executive vice president Toshiro Tsutsumu is quoted as saying in Gulf News after a meeting last month with Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Defence Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sultan bin Sulayem, chairman of Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corp....
