According to Kenya Ports Authority (KPA)’s technical manager Joseph Atonga, only three of the seven bidders for its cranes tender for Mombasa met the technical specifications - Kalmar Industries, ZPMC and Reggiane Cranes & Plant.
Fabtech International Ltd (Dubai), Liebherr, IMCC (Abu Dhabi) and Dalian Heavy Industries “had failed to meet vital areas of the technical specification,” Atonga said....
