Dubai Ports International (DPI), which put in the highest revenue share in the bid to build and operate the Vallarpadam international container transhipment terminal near Kochi in south India, is a step closer to getting the government’s approval to start operations there.
The finance wing of the Indian Shipping Ministry has given its approval to DPI’s revenue share offer of 33.3 per cent and it is now awaiting the approval of the new Shipping Minister, T R Baalu. A letter of intent will be issued as soon as the Minister gives his approval....
