China Merchants Holdings International (CMHI) reports that a terminal operating system (TOS) developed at Zhangzhou China Merchants Port (ZCMP) was recently put into use after two years of development. CMHI has a 49 percent stake in Zhangzhou China Merchants Port at the estuary of Jiulong River near Xiamen and holds the management contract to operate the terminal.
A number of Chinese universities and research organisations have been working on projects to develop TOS applications, but it is not known whether they were involved in this project....
