The Port of Tanjung Pelepas has ordered three cranes from Impsa Malaysia (with an option for three more) with a maximum lifting capacity of 82 tonnes under the spreader for twin 40ft operations for its newly completed Phase II quay. Although the new quay for Phase II was piled for a future second landside rail with a gauge of 42m, the cranes will be built for the existing 100ft gauge.
Headblock and spreader options are still being considered but it is likely that the cranes will be delivered with a standard headblock for twin 20ft spreader operations while twin 40ft operations are proven at other terminals....
