Coffee imports are heading back to Genoa after an absence of 10 years, following an agreement between logistics company Centro Smistamento Merci (CSM) and importer Romani & Co.
Twenty 20ft containers with 440 tonnes of breakbulk beans were handled in August under the initial phase of the agreement. Once things are in full swing, an average of 80-100 containers/ month - breakbulk (sacks) and bulk (liner bags) - will arrive at the facility in Genoa Distripark, which is operated for the port authority (APG) by CSM....
