Coolboxx, the new pan-European initiative aimed at providing shippers of temperature-controlled commodities with a range of intermodal alternatives to road transport (see WorldCargo News July 2004, p13), commenced operations last month following the arrival in Rotterdam of the first units for its 45ft reefer container fleet.
Coolboxx partners A Visbeen en Zonen BV, Post-Kogeko BV and Geest North Sea Line BV (GNSL) each hold one-third of the equity in Coolboxx and will contribute equally in the provision of new 45ft high cube palletwide reefer containers to the common pool.
