Lamerholm Electronics has come up with a remote indicator unit (RIU), which enables its RD298 ShockLog shock, vibration and environmental recorder to warn of damage as it happens.
Connection by cable to the new battery-(or externally)-powered RIU (designated RD401) allows a ShockLog to be placed at the heart of a consignment where it may otherwise be inaccessible during transit....
