The Hoyer Group of Hamburg is pinning its ambitions in the European beer transport market on a new generation of high-capacity, low tare weight intermodal tanks.
A prototype, 29,500 litre beer tank was unveiled last November in Nuremberg at Brau Beviale 2004, the 45th European exhibition for the brewing and beverage industries. Since then, a total of eight of these 7.15m swap body units, which have a tare weight of only 2,600 kg each, have been ordered from Van Hool in Belgium....
