Japanese operator Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) has decided to join the Chemical Distribution Institute’s Marine Packed Cargo safety and quality assessment scheme (CDI-mpc), which was created by the European chemical industry in relation to the safe transportation of chemical products by container. NYK is the first Japanese company to participate in the programme.
