GASCO (the Ghana Association of Stevedoring Companies) is appealing to a parliamentary transport committee to open an investigation into the award of the concession to operate container terminals at Tema and Takoradi to the Ghana Ports Service Consortium (GPS) last year.
The consortium consisted of APM Terminals (APMT), Bathgate Management Ltd, Beckett Rankine Partnership, Bouygues Travaux Publics, Mersey Docks and Harbour Company, Bolloré Group and the Suttons Group, but the Ghanaian press claims that only APMT and Bolloré remain....
