Evergreen has ordered six automated RMGs for its terminal in Kaoshiung, Taiwan. The cranes will be built in Taiwan by China-Pan Engineering, with drive and control systems supplied by ABB. They will be a double cantilever design and operate alongside manually-controlled RMGs.
ABB will supply the same ABB ACS 800 drive and ABB AC 800 control package as it is fitting to the ZPMC cranes for the Euromax project with a remote control system for handling road trucks and yard tractors. The cranes will stack five high, have a rail gauge of 33m (sufficient for an 11 row stacking area) and 10.5m cantilevers....
