Kalmar Industries, the container handling equipment arm of Cargotec, has signed an agreement to acquire the business of USbased East Coast Cranes and Electrical Contracting, Inc (ECC). Terms of the transaction, expected to be finalised within a month, were not disclosed.
ECC specialises in crane modernisation and modification, crane transport and crane erection, its most recently-completed project being three low profile Paceco Portainers in Tampa that it moved from APMT in Elizabeth, NJ. in a turnkey project for Tampa Port Authority (see last month’s WorldCargo News, p8)....
