Nigerian firm Ports & Terminal Operators Nigeria Ltd (PTON) is expected to take over the operation of Terminal A at Port Harcourt by August. The chairman of the company, Otunba Olatunde Olowu, announced at the end of May that his firm had paid its signing-on fee and had agreed a transitional agreement with the Ports Authority (NPA).
PTON had been expected to take up its concession at the start of this year but a dispute with the NPA delayed the transfer....
