Walvis Bay gets a boost

The European Union (EU) has provided all of the €25M required to make the Walvis Bay Corridor project a reality.

The Namibian government and state-owned port operator Namport are keen to turn Walvis Bay into a major hub port for Southern Africa. By taking advantage of its location on the Atlantic coast, they are seeking to improve road and rail links with the rest of the Southern African Development Community (SADC)....
