Daikin milestone

Japanese reefer machinery manufacturer Daikin recently passed an important milestone with the sale of its 75,000th LXE10E refrigeration unit. The unit was part of a batch just delivered to Germanheadquartered Hamburg Süd, one of a number of major Europeanbased carriers now using the Daikin design.

Daikin will be marking the occasion at this year’s Intermodal exhibition in Hamburg with the presentation of ceremonial plaques to Hamburg Süd and other “milestone” customers including Mitsui OSK Lines, the first customer to purchase the LXE10E, Yang Ming Line, the Asian carrier that has purchased the largest volume of units, Wan Hai Line, the first overseas carrier to buy the LXE10E, and Royal Arctic Line A/S....
