SP-PSA International Port Co held a groundbreaking ceremony this month to mark the start of construction of its new container terminal at the Cai Mep-Thi Vai port complex in the southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province of Vietnam.
A joint venture of PSA International, Saigon Port Company and Vinalines, the new facility is being built downstream of the existing Thi Vai general cargo terminal near the estuary of the Cai Mep-Thi Vai r iver. The first phase, costing US$165M, will comprise two 300m berths with a 14.5m depth alongside and 27 hectares of yard area with an annual capacity of IM TEU....
