Cargotec has reported to the Helsinki Stock Exchange that it will post a one-time cost of €18M to its 4Q/2007 results as a result of deficiencies related to welding discovered in its Bromma container spreaders, requiring a need for a global inspection programme and possible preventive repair in certain types of spreaders. The total number of spreaders that will be inspected is some 1730 units.
Bromma is contacting customers to arrange a detailed timetable for the inspection of the welding in the spreaders based on serial numbers that identify a possible risk....
