Kalmar straddle orders

Kalmar Industries has reported two new orders for straddle carriers, in the US and in Finland. On the USWC, the Port of Tacoma has ordered seven hydrodynamic drive CSC 340 machines for its on-dock inter-modal rail operations, with delivery scheduled for October this year.

Kalmar’s 7th generation technology comprises an enhanced CAN-bus PLC diagnostics system, fly-by-wire controls and directly PLC controlled engines. The 40t single lift machines can stack 3-high and double-stack containers on rail cars....
