Navis, a Zebra Technologies company, has won a contract to replace the in-house terminal operating system (TOS) at the Santos Brasil terminal in the Port of Santos, the largest container terminal in South America. According to Navis, efficiency is expected to improve by at least 20% after the upgrade.
“We expect to improve efficiency within a year of installing the Navis software,” said Ricardo Abbruzzini Filho, IT manager of Santos Brasil. The company’s six-year-old Container Terminal Information System (CTIS) will be replaced with Navis SPARCS TOS by the end of June....
