US-based Vycon and Paceco Corp have signed a deal under which Paceco will promote Vycon’s Regen Flywheel energy storage system to its new and existing rubber-tyred Transtainer customers in the US. Paceco has around 100 RTGs in LA/Long Beach and is also active in the retrofit market with a position tracking system for RTGs and various maintenance services.
This is Vycon’s third OEM agreement, following similar deals with Fantuzzi and ZPMC, but the company is finding the crane market tougher to crack than it had anticipated. In presenting Vycon’s 2007 annual results, president and CEO Vatche Artinian said that 2007 was “a disappointing year from a sales perspective.”...
