Cargotec forms port security unit...

Cargotec Port Security has been formed by Cargotec Corp “to develop enhanced container security solutions that do not compromise the efficiency of container flows through ports.”

For some time now, spreader manufacturer Bromma, a subsidiary of Cargotec through Kalmar, has been exploring and investing in the area of radiation detection systems mounted on ship-to-shore container crane spreaders, initially with California-based Veritainer and more recently with Florida-based Innovative American Technology (see WorldCargo News July 2007, p4 and September 2007, p52)....
