Vietnam’s Cai Mep International Terminal (CMIT) has awarded a US$112M contract to a South Korean consortium of Posco and Samwhan Corp to build a container terminal at Cai Mep in the southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province south east of Ho Chi Minh City.
APM Terminals (APMT) has a 49% stake in CMIT, which was formed in 2007, with the remainder held by state-owned Saigon Port Co (SP) and Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines).
