Ennore Port in India’s Tamil Nadu state has received 22 bids for the 30-year concession to build and operate a 1.5M TEU/year container terminal at the country’s first corporatised port (see WorldCargo News April 2008, p14).
The bidders include most of the world’s leading global terminal operators (with the notable exception of Hutchison Port Holdings), other overseas companies and a raft of local Indian companies....
